It's my privilege to welcome you to the homepage of New York University's Interfraternity Council, the governing body for NYU's 16 men's social fraternities.
Since 1835, just four years after NYU’s founding, fraternities have played an integral role in shaping student life here at NYU. In a city where everything seems to be in flux, our fraternities have been able to preserve legacies that date back centuries, offering today's actives the opportunity to partake in time-honored traditions.
Joining a fraternity will give you access to mentors, resources, and opportunities that will guide and support you in your undergraduate years and beyond. Our organizations are comprised of driven and ambitious students who are committed to high performance, always seeking to uphold NYU Greek life's four pillars: scholarship, leadership, friendship, and service. From performing thousands of hours of community service and raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for charity, to excelling in the classroom and holding positions of leadership all over campus, we pride ourselves on being a positive force in our community.
On behalf of the 800+ members of IFC organizations, I invite you to explore what makes NYU Greek life the most dynamic community on campus.
